Pickleball Leadership Committe

The Pickleball Sports Development Team will be responsible for implementing and growing the sport of pickleball for Special Olympics Massachusetts throughout the Commonwealth. This team will consist of 4-5 volunteers who will advise, assist and guide Special Olympics Massachusetts in the implementation and management of the sport of pickleball.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify pickleball partnerships that will facilitate implementation of the sport of pickleball.
- Development curriculum, rules, training plans for sport that training sites will follow.
- Assist in identifying facilities to host training centers.
- Assist in recruitment, identifying and selecting individuals to oversee training sites.
- Assist in recruitment, identify volunteers to assist in running the training sites.
- Assist in marketing program and recruitment of athletes.
Background Requirements:
- Passion for sport of pickleball
- Understanding of the sport and rules
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
