Please read these requirements prior to submitting your application
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- You must be firmly committed to participating in all five (5) consecutive days of the Statewide Final Leg, from Monday, June 2nd to Friday, June 6th, at the time of selection.
- You must be able to maintain a pace of 10 minutes per mile for up to 1 mile at a time, and have the stamina to tolerate four consecutive days consisting of travel, running, and special event functions.
- You must be willing to participate in a Final Leg Team fundraising activity, starting soon after selection and culminating in a fundraising event during Final Leg Week.
- You must possess the ability to function as part of a team. You are expected to establish and maintain a high level of cooperation with all other team members and supporters.
- You must be willing to speak on behalf of the Final Leg Team in front of groups at various functions and ceremonies about Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
- All Final Leg team members will be subject to a CORI (background records check).
